Magazine Surprise

Yesterday I had a kind of double magazine surprise moment.
For one; it seems my union finaly have informed the weekly magazine Teknisk Ukeblad
(a weekly technical mag) where I live, 1 1/2 year after I actually moved. I guess I should savour the next issues, as I will soon be moving again.
Secondly; I got a issue of a new comic mag M
(norwegian) in the mail as well, where they informed me that the monthly comic mag Pondus
(also norwegian) would stop being published at that publisher. I haven’t yet checked to see if it will continue under another publisher (edit: it will). Perhaps this then was a triple magazine surprise?
Of course; I’d like to continue my subscription to M
instead of Pondus
, seeing as I like the humor better (also Mads have a better supply of ninjas. Right, take that sword away please). Actually I have been wondering to stop subscribing to Pondus
for a while; I read quite a bit of the comics (both of them) on the net as it is. (chaaa…rgh)
The individual posting this blog will continue to buy M

Starting out

My old journal has been packed away for a while now, and I haven’t updated my LiveJournal much either lately. Thus I am starting afresh, which fits quite nice with my work situation.
The eastern parts of norway, while being a nice place to live and work, did not agree with my SO’s worklife - and had no available kindergarden posts for our children. So, we applied for posts closer to our roots - lo and behold! Within 3-5 weeks she had work, good work, and the kids had a place to be (two different kindergardens) while she is at work. Stupid place I live and work in…
By the end of this year I will be out of the “cushy gouvernment job” (yea, right) and on my way west, again. I’ve recently recieved an offer for a position as a programmer/developer in Bergen; interesting, promising and … the works. I’ll accept it unless someone (very quickly) offers me a job 3 hours by bus further south.
So, here’s to me actually managing to write something interesting in this here thing. This time. I’ll stick to roleplaying, boardgames and possibly programming. Perhaps it will descend into incoherent muttering and babbling as I slink deeper into the clutches of caffeine once again…
